2007 FOR AMATEURS COUPLES :
THE RANKING COMPETITION
SYSTEM FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
This ranking system will be used only with
the new championships and will get 2 objectives:
• Cumulate proficiency points for scholarships
at the end of the year
• To select couples to represent Canada
at the World Championship
Requirements:
•The amateur couple should be in good
standing with CDDSC
• The participant’s organizers should
follow the CDDSC rules
Important notice : the changes made for
the ranking competition system, is to reflect the World Dance Council rules
for World Dance Trophy amateur competition

Those championships will be held in 16+
only in all the above levels. As mentionned in 2006, the result in those
championships will not have any impact in the classification of a couple
in the regular categories. A couple can register in more then one championships
but will be eligible to win one sponsorship per style; ex : latin
PROFICIENCY POINTS
To select the winners,will find bellow the proficiency
points that can be cumulated by a couple based on their participation:
| 1st place : 15 points |
4th place : 9 points |
Semi-finalist : 5 points |
| 2nd place : 13 points |
5th place : 8 points |
Quarter finalist : 3 points |
| 3rd place : 11 points |
6th place : 7 points |
Qualification: 1 point |
